Christopher LaMarca / Director and Cinematographer

Christopher LaMarca had his directorial debut with two documentary films in 2016.  His film Boone premiered at SXSW in the Visions section and the Berlinale and The Pearl premiered at TRUE/FALSE,  won Grand Jury Prize at Dallas International Film Festival and was nomintated for Cinema Eye Honors.  He was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine in 2014 and is a Sundance Institute Edit and Story lab film fellow.  His monograph Forest Defenders: The Confrontational American Landscape was published by pOwerhouse books.  His work has been exhibited at the International Center of Photography’s Triennial Exhibition Ecotopia and included in publications such as Aperture and American Photography.  Christopher contributes to Rollingstone magazine, GQ and Mother Jones among others.

 

Katrina Taylor / Editor and Producer

Katrina Taylor is a Los Angeles based film editor who is drawn to character driven stories and the exploration of sonic landscapes within the documentary genre.  Most recently Katrina served as co-editor for the Virtual Reality piece Awavena, which was selected for the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and the World Economic Forum in Davos.  Previous roles include editor on the feature documentary Boone ( SXSW, Berlinale) and assistant editor for The Pearl ( True/False, HotDocs) which was awarded Grand Jury Prize at Dallas International Film Fstival and nominated for a Spotlight award from Cinema Eye Honors.  She was a contributing editor at the 2016 Sundance Institute Edit and Story Labs and early roles include Associate Producer for the Discovery Channel Global Education Project, Assistant Editor with the Academy Award-winning The Empowerment Project and Director of Acquisitions for the documentary distribution company Collective Eye.  Her work has been supported by Impact Partners, The Sundance Institute, Catapult Film Fund, Filmmaker Fund,  IFP, Film Independent, Chicken and Egg, NYSCA and The Ford Foundation.
