Christopher LaMarca / Director and Cinematographer

CHRISTOPHER LAMARCA is an Emmy award nominated director, cinematographer and photojournalist. His films have screened at SXSW, Berlinale, TRUE/FALSE, HotDocs, The Museum of Modern Art and received several Special Jury awards as well as been nominated for Cinema Eye Honors. His current feature film A Private Wild was recently supported by the Sundance Institute and selected to participate in the 2020 Sundance Talent Forum. He was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine and is a Sundance Institute Edit and Story lab film fellow. As a photographer, Christopher contributes to Rolling Stone Magazine, GQ and Mother Jones among others. His monograph Forest Defenders: The Confrontational American Landscape was published by powerHouse books. His work has been exhibited at the International Center of Photography’s Triennial Exhibition Ecotopia and included in publications such as Aperture and American Photography.

 

Katrina Taylor / Editor and Producer

KATRINA TAYLOR is an Emmy award-winning, Los Angeles based film editor who values cinematic storytelling and the exploration of sonic landscapes within the documentary genre.  Most recently Katrina served as an Editor on the feature documentary Feels Good Man, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and won the US Documentary Special Jury Award for Emerging Filmmaker as well as the editor for A Private Wild which was chosen for the 2020 Sundance Talent Forum. Previous roles include: Editor for the feature documentary Wildland which opened the 2019 Fall season of PBS Independent Lens and won 2 Emmy awards including Outstanding Editing on a documentary, Editor for Season 2 of the Netflix Original Series, The Confession Tapes produced by A24, Editor for the VR film Awavena (2018 Sundance Film Festival, World Economic Forum, Venice Biennale), Additional Editor on the Netflix Original series ReMastered: The Two Killings of Sam Cooke and Editor for the feature documentary Boone ( 2016 SXSW, Berlinale).  She was a contributing editor at the Sundance Institute Edit and Story Labs and is a founding member and on the steering committee of The Alliance of Documentary Editors (ADE).  Katrina’s work has been supported by Impact Partners, The Sundance Institute, Catapult Film Fund, Filmmaker Fund,  IFP, Film Independent, Chicken and Egg, NYSCA and The Ford Foundation.
